GivingTuesday numbers are in, and we are blown away by the community’s generosity. Meals on Wheels received $30,762.62, part of the record-breaking $1.07 million total. Thank you to everyone who donated in support of Meals on Wheels and local seniors.
Order Valentine’s Sweets to support Meals on Wheels
Share a box of homemade Valentine’s Sweets with a loved one, or the whole family, and support a great cause. Boxes are $25 a piece and can be picked up at the Meals on Wheels kitchen on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14. Orders close at noon on Monday, February 10! We have room for more seniors at Meet & Eat, in Mohawk! We offer lunch Monday through Friday at the Keweenaw Pines. If you or a senior you know is looking to connect with peers, consider joining us!
Staff Spotlight - McKenzie Hart
Sitting quietly in the front office of Meals on Wheels with her phone headset, route sheets on the desk, and slips of paper with senior names and dates is where you'll find McKenzie Hart working every day. McKenzie has worked in almost every position within the organization and it shows as she answers questions and assists seniors in signing up for meals. McKenzie's patience, kind heart, and can-do attitude have helped her grow within the organization while becoming the welcoming voice and face that help seniors feel comfortable reaching out for assistance. Thank you, McKenzie, for being so dedicated to our senior community and those that work at Copper Shores.
