Thank you to everyone that donated this year to GivingTuesday. We were able to raise over $29,000 dollars to our local seniors! In total our GivingTuesday campaign gave back 1.1 million to the local community! Thank you for being part of this journey throughout 2025. We can't wait to see what 2026 will bring.
Thank you, Kathleen!
Not all the developments this month were happy ones, we're saddened to say goodbye to Meals on Wheels Program Director Kathleen Harter. Kathleen oversaw the expansion of services to include more seniors, built up a reliable and caring team, and accomplished much more that has gone unseen. She has consistently uplifted her team, inspired community members and relentlessly advocated for the needs of local seniors each and every day. We'll miss you, Kathleen!
It may be the middle of winter here in Michigan's Copper Country, but that won't stop us from featuring local food for our seniors! This month we're proud to be serving local food with more than 75 percent of our meals this month. We can do that thanks to the incredible work of our staff, who does a great job processing the fresh food right when it comes in so that it can be used later. See the full menu here!
Keep up with Copper Shores
