Copper Shores Meals on Wheels recently received a donation from Rock Harbor Lodge on Isle Royale. The donation includes meats, veggies, and even exciting and unexpected treats like cheesecake that the seniors love.
Kibbe takes over Dollar Bay route
This summer we welcomed Audrey Kibbe to our staff. Starting this week she's moving from an on-call float to a permanent delivery driver position, covering the Dollar Bay route. She is very excited to take on more and get to know more seniors in our community.
Fraud workshops were a success
Jennifer Rekasi from Huntington Bank brought vital information to attendees on how to detect fraud and avoid being scammed. We had great crowds at both the Hancock and Calumet session. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.
Our kitchen garden is being prepared for the winter months
The growing season is coming to an end and we are getting ready to winterize our kitchen garden for next year! In order to have healthy soil ready for growing in 2024, the work starts now, adding mulch and making sure the soil is protected.
Online changes are on the way
We are getting a new website! You will see changes in the coming weeks online, including our donation software. Thank you to our first donor with the new software who anonymously gave $1,000!
