It may be the middle of winter here in Michigan's Copper Country, but that won't stop us from featuring local food for our seniors! This month we're proud to be serving local food with more than 75 percent of our meals this week. We can do that thanks to the incredible work of our staff, who does a great job processing the fresh food right when it comes in so that it can be used later.
The menu also includes one of the absolute favorites of our seniors - pasty day from our friends at Krupp's Mini Mart in Twin lakes! We're so thankful for the partnership we have with them, as they are donating the complete meal for our seniors! Their family-owned business makes some of the best pasties in the area. We featured them in a video a couple years ago, be sure to watch it!
