June 2026 Menu Highlight at Copper Shores Meals on Wheels

The Meals on Wheels team is turning out fresh and flavorful meals all throughout June, including senior favorites that feature locally sourced ingredients. Our community partners play a key role in supporting senior health and well-being, providing a rich variety of produce and proteins that help us build out a balanced and robust menu each month.

Some of the meals with local ingredients include:

  • Tuesday, June 2 - Roast beef dinner, potatoes, vegetables and coleslaw, made with beef from Buried Stone Farms.
  • Thursday, June 4 - Garden salad with turkey, dressing and a dinner roll, prepared with lettuce from Whispering Wild Market Farm.
  • Friday, June 12 - Broccoli chicken pizza, a side salad, fresh fruit and a muffin, using lettuce from Ghost House Farm.
  • Wednesday, June 17 - Beef tips and noodles, vegetables, a dinner roll and carrot salad, made using beef from Buried Stone Farms.
  • Friday, June 26 - Barbecue chicken pizza, broccoli salad, fresh fruit and peach cobbler, prepared with peaches from Ransom Family Farms.

We work with dozens of local farmers and producers each month to create unique meals that taste like home.
