We’re proud to serve seniors locally sourced ingredients throughout the year, working side-by-side with dozens of farmers and producers across the region. Together, we’re not only preparing meals, but strengthening our local food system and ensuring older adults enjoy fresh, flavorful and nourishing food. This month, we could not go without a special thanks to Buried Stone Farms in Escanaba.
Our long time partner, Buried Stone Farms, plays a starring role in April’s menu, with their high-quality proteins featured in nearly a dozen meals. From comforting classics like meatloaf and sloppy joes to crowd favorites like BBQ pork sandwiches, their products help us deliver meals that are satisfying and delicious.
Here’s just a taste of what’s being served:
Wednesday, April 29 - Sloppy joes with stewed tomatoes, green beans and coleslaw.
For farmers and restaurant owners, this is more than a supply opportunity; it’s a chance to make a real, local impact. Your products can directly support the health and well-being of seniors in our community while showcasing the quality and care you put into your work.
We’re always looking to grow our network of local partners. If you’ve ever wanted to see your ingredients featured in meals that truly matter, we’d love to connect.
