Through a variety of games, crafts and team building challenges, students will explore what it means to build trust, communicate effectively, and navigate friendships and relationships in healthy, positive ways. The program will help middle schoolers build the tools they need to feel confident in who they are and how they connect with others.
“Growing up is about more than figuring out who you are and what you like,” Victim Advocate Bonnie Johnson said. “It’s also about learning how to connect with the people around you. When young people understand what healthy relationships look like, they can develop friendships and connections rooted in trust, respect and kindness, helping them stay safe, happy and healthy as they navigate the world.”
A Healthy You meets every other week from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning Tuesday, October 13 and running through December.
