Adams Township School District has honored Copper Shores Community Health Educator Meghan Jaszczak with the Community Member School Service Award as a part of the 2026 Copper Country Association of School Boards Education Awards.

The CCASB Education Awards bring together students, educators, parents and community leaders to celebrate the dedication and contributions of all those who strengthen local school communities.

Each year, school districts across the Copper Country recognize outstanding contributions by a student, staff member and community partner. Jaszczak was nominated by Adams Township School District for her impactful work on a Farm-to-School pilot program in their school. The initiative concluded with an end-of-year celebration meal featuring ingredients grown in the school’s own garden, highlighting the students’ hands-on learning and hard work throughout the school year.

“I’m thankful for this kind recognition,” said Jaszczak. “I feel grateful for the opportunity to partner with Adams Township School District and help support their staff’s vision of building a program that fosters healthier and more resilient students.”

Whether volunteering, sharing resources or collaborating on new ideas, anyone can play a role in enriching student experiences. Jaszczak’s recognition reflects the power of strong community partnerships in creating meaningful learning experiences for students. By connecting nutrition and hands-on engagement, programs like Farm-to-School help lay the foundation for a healthier, more resilient Copper Country.
