Shifting culture back to

Food & Community

Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is committed to bringing fresh, nutritious and local food back to the table in our community schools.

We define Farm to School as Food Education, and over the coming years we’ll be inspiring our community schools to take the steps needed to bring food education back to our community’s youth.

Education

It all begins with knowledge. Knowing how to grow. Knowing how to cook. For this to work, we need to start young.

School Gardens

We’re looking to breathe new life into school gardens of all types throughout the Copper Country.

Procurement

Working with food service departments, we’ll find ways to bring more local and healthful foods to school meals.

Pilot Program to build a lasting legacy

This initiative aims to incorporate a comprehensive curriculum that brings Farm to School into everyday learning, enriching students' educational experiences and fostering a deeper connection with their food sources.

Join Copper Shores on the journey

Follow along by subscribing to the quarterly Food Initiative email newsletter. Updates are always consistent and relevant. You’ll love being part of the journey. More importantly, we need you. Without community involvement, we’ll accomplish nothing.
