Safety Net Program
This service is designed to provide crucial follow-up care for individuals who have recently experienced a mental health crisis. Staffed with trained professionals that have experience developing tailored safety plans for a diverse range of clientele and situations, this program aims to offer comprehensive support and continuity of care to ensure that individuals receive the help they need as they navigate their recovery journey.

Initial Contact
Within 48 hours of enrolling in the program, clients will receive an initial contact from our team to begin the support process.

What to Expect
Clients can anticipate a proactive and supportive approach from our trained specialists. The Safety Net Program aims to bridge the gap between seeking initial help and connecting with more intensive professional services. This ensures that clients do not face delays in receiving the necessary support.
Eligibility
- Available to anyone in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties.
- People 14 and older are eligible, or under 14 with parental consent.
- Provided free of charge.

Suicide risk
Thoughts or feelings of suicide.
A complex crisis
Multiple hardships that are overwhelming, such as financial problems, mental health issues, abuse, etc.
Suicide bereavement
The loss of someone to suicide.
Substance use disorder
A complex condition that involves a problematic pattern of substance use.
