Lisa Naber

2026-02-25-Website-Lisa-NaberCongratulations to Lisa Naber, Do Good Volunteer of March 2026!

"Lisa Naber is one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. She often substitute teaches at CLK Elementary School, so I was surprised to see her there in the middle of summer. When I asked what she was up to, she explained that she had come in on her own time to deep clean our secretary’s office and do some painting, knowing our secretary was eight months pregnant and physically unable to manage those tasks. Nobody asked her, and nobody paid her; Lisa simply noticed a need and quietly stepped in to make someone else’s life easier.

What makes Lisa so special is that this wasn’t an isolated act of kindness. Last spring, when a colleague was facing significant health challenges, Lisa put in countless unpaid hours to prepare that teacher’s classroom for open house night so students and families would feel welcomed. The summer before, she dedicated her time to repainting shelves for a kindergarten classroom, once again without being asked or expecting anything in return.

Lisa gives her time, energy and heart to our school community in ways that go far beyond her role as a substitute teacher. She consistently notices needs, big and small, and fills them with generosity, humility and joy. Whether it’s cleaning, organizing or tackling a tough project, Lisa does it all with a smile and never seeks recognition.

Her actions ripple outward, not only easing the burdens of individuals but also strengthening the caring culture of our school as a whole. In a world where people are often too busy to lend a hand, Lisa embodies what it means to put others first. This kind of quiet, genuine selflessness is rare and deserves to be celebrated, which is why I am honored to nominate Lisa Naber for the Do Good in the Copper Country award."

Thank you for the work you do!
