Frequently Asked Questions
Are home-delivery clients able to receive meals more than once a week?
Yes. Our home-delivered meal program offers deliveries 5 meals per week and 7 meals per week.
If you are not looking to commit to receiving this many meals each week, one of our Meet & Eat sites may be a better fit, as they offer more flexibility.
What dietary restrictions can you accommodate?
We are able to accommodate for individuals on dialysis and those requiring mechanically altered or pureed meals.
All meals are low-sodium, and provide 1/3 of the recommended USDA daily nutritional intake.
Does income affect my eligibility?
No. Your income does not affect your eligibility for our meal programs.
If I’m disabled and under 60, am I eligible for your home-delivered meal program?
At this time, we only provide meals for those 60 years and older.
If you are under the age of 60, please call 211 for guidance and help connecting with other local food and nutritional resources.
Can I attend the Meet & Eat sites if I am a home-delivered meal client?
Yes. Home-delivered meal clients are invited to attend Meet & Eat when they have access to transportation. However, Meet & Eat clients may not be eligible for home-delivered meals if they do not meat the guideline on lacking regular transportation.
We encourage participation at our Meet & Eat sites whenever possible, as they provide an excellent opportunity to socialize and help reduce isolation and loneliness.
How many meals can I get a day?
- Home-delivered meals are provided 5 days a week, with 2 extra meals delivered on Thursdays for those receiving weekend meals.
- Meet & Eat sites operate 1 to 5 days per week, dependent on location.
-
Frozen meals are delivered on Mondays, providing 5 or 7 meals for the week.
