Local law enforcement invited to Sexual Assault Response Training

Copper Shores Victim Support invites Copper Country law enforcement to attend Sexual Assault Response Training sessions on October 20. This free, two-hour training strengthens collaboration among law enforcement, sexual assault nurse examiners and victim advocates, and offers practical information that enhances trauma-formed responses to sexual assault in the community.

Topics include

  • Sexual Assault Response Team Framework and multidisciplinary roles
  • Understanding sexual violence and systemic barriers to justice
  • Exploring rural crime data, service barriers and public perception of crime response
  • Best practices for sexual assault response and evidence collection
  • Local Child Advocacy Center services
