Bring Meals on Wheels to all of Houghton County

Join us at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at the Chassell Fire Hall (22115 7th Street, Chassell, MI) to learn about the Elder Nutrition Millage proposal, explore the community’s needs, understand the proposed solutions and ask any questions you may have.

This public information session will be running during Meet & Eat, a weekly gathering of local seniors, enjoying a freshly cooked meal and camaraderie. We encourage you to try one of the many wonderful meals we prepare for seniors. Meals are $13 each.

To ensure every Houghton County resident has the opportunity to learn about the 2025 Elder Nutrition Millage proposal, we are hosting Public Information Sessions across Houghton County. Join fellow seniors at Meet & Eat!

Join seniors in your neighborhood for a freshly cooked meal at the Chassell Fire Hall, Mondays and Wednesdays at noon. Though we are actively working to eliminate the waiting list for homebound seniors, there are spots currently open at our Meet & Eat sites. Meals are free for folks 60 years and older. We suggest a donation of $8, but would never turn someone away because they are unable to pay. Call 1 (906) 483-1155 at least one day in advance to join us at the Chassell Fire Hall. Food and friendship are waiting!
