August 27, 2024 | By Emilie Jacques

The second annual Bingo Bonanza at The Bluffs is set to return on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. Hosted by The Bluffs Senior Community as a fundraiser for Copper Shores Meals on Wheels, this event promises an evening filled with joy, camaraderie and excitement.

2024-08-15-Bingoatthebluffs-OL-1x1-v3-1The Bingo Bonanza is scheduled during National Assisted Living Week, a time to celebrate the connections and relationships that develop in assisted living environments.

“We know the value of connecting with friends, especially as we age,” Meals on Wheels program director Kathleen Harter said. “For a couple hours, people can come together and enjoy Bingo and a beautiful view overlooking Houghton.”

The doors will open at 5 p.m., allowing attendees to find their seats, purchase concessions, take a peek at the more than $1000 in prizes and prepare for an spectacular night of Bingo that will begin at 6 p.m. The event will feature four rounds of Bingo, each lasting 20 minutes with 10-minute breaks between rounds. For those looking to enjoy snacks while playing, Copper Shores Meals on Wheels will be offering refreshments, including soda and popcorn. Complimentary coffee and water will also be available.  Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited to the first 150 participants.

All proceeds from the evening's festivities will go to the Meals on Wheels program, which provides essential nourishment and companionship to seniors in the Copper Country. Last year, Bingo Bonanza at The Bluffs brought in more than $1,900 for the Meals on Wheels Program.
