2025-06-06-Small-Grants-Social-Advertising-OL-1080x1350-1x1Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is pleased to announce the release of its 2025 Small Grants Program Request for Proposals. This annual funding opportunity is designed to support innovative, grassroots projects that promote health and wellness throughout the Copper Country region. For this funding cycle, Copper Shores has allocated $15,000 in total, with individual grant awards capped at $2,500. Proposals will be accepted now through Monday, July 14, 2025.

The Small Grants Program is focused on projects that positively impact the health of the community while addressing the underlying health challenges faced by residents. Proposals should clearly identify how the project supports the foundation’s mission of improving overall community well-being in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties.

In 2024, the Small Grant Program funded five projects, ranging from playground accessibility improvements and the enhancement of communication and outreach materials, to expanding food pantry services for students and offering art-based wellness programs for local seniors. These initiatives demonstrate collaboration, creativity and a deep understanding of community needs, important underpinnings of Copper Shores’ mission.
