“Stop by and ask any food or nutrition-related questions you may have,” said Jaszczak. “We will have cookbooks to look at, recipes and plenty of nutrition-related resources available to share.”

On Tuesday August 19, Jaszczak will be at the Houghton Market from 3 to 6 p.m. to take part in a special thimbleberry themed week at the markets. You can ask Jaszczak about nutrition and food while sampling a delicious thimbleberry vinaigrette on fresh sourdough bread from North Harvest Farm.

The following week, on Tuesday August 26, from 3 to 6 p.m., Jaszczak will be joined by fellow local health professionals Taylor Paul, RDN and Arianna Francois, RDN from UP Health System - Portage, handing out chopped chickpea salad samples while they answer your questions.

Saturday, September 6, Jaszczak and Beth Cook, RD from Aspirus Health will be at the Calumet Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to hand out more samples of chickpea salad and tackle any remaining inquiries that community members may have.
