Mobile food pantry returns to Baraga for five more 2025 deliveries

2025-06-23-MobileFoodPantry-CopperShores-Social-Media-OL-Baraga-1x1Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is working with Keweenaw Bay Indian Community to sponsor the Feeding America West Michigan mobile food pantry in Baraga throughout 2025, including five more deliveries. In addition to the upcoming delivery on Wednesday, June 25, Feeding America is returning to Baraga on July 23, August 27, September 24 and October 22, 2025.

The mobile food pantry is making its next delivery this Wednesday, June 25, at the Ojibwa Casino, 16449 Michigan Avenue in Baraga, with line-up beginning around 11:45 a.m. and food distribution starting at 12 p.m.

The mobile food pantry includes a variety of food, including fresh produce and dairy products at no cost. Attendees will only need to provide basic contact information and affirm a need for food; identification or proof of income are not required. Boxes of food will be provided in a drive-through format, serving approximately 300 families.

Feeding America West Michigan

Feeding America West Michigan is a food bank that serves 40 of Michigan’s 83 counties. Its service area spans from the Indiana border north through the western half of the state and extends throughout the entire Upper Peninsula. This is the sixth year Copper Shores has funded mobile food pantries from Feeding America West Michigan, bringing nutritional goods all the way from downstate.
