Rooted in Community: Meet Emily Reisch Earll

August 17, 2026 | By Emilie Jacques

Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is excited to introduce Emily Reisch Earll, taking on the brand new role of Nutrition Outreach and Education Coordinator. She’s blending hands-on agricultural experience with a passion for community-driven education, helping grow food access and nutrition education programming across the Copper Country.

Emily Reisch Earll 1x1 socialReisch Earll earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Communication, with minors in Marketing and Natural Resource Management, from the University of Dubuque in 2020. She then returned home to manage a community garden that donated produce to local food pantries; an experience that showed her the reward of both growing food and supporting people with it.

She later joined a Farm-to-School pilot program in Dubuque where she helped deliver educational snack boxes to first grade classrooms across nine different area schools, and most recently worked at a UW-Madison agricultural research station before coming to the Copper Country.

"She’s very people oriented and wants to make a difference in the community she lives in," Community Health Educator Meghan Jaszczak said. "Her curiosity and creativity lend well to building support that meets the unique needs of each school we work with.”

Reisch Earll grew up in Garrison, Iowa, a small farming town she describes to be “like Footloose, but without Kevin Bacon and more corn." Growing up in an agricultural community, she was first introduced to food access early, while participating in clubs like Future Farmers of America. A summer program in Washington, D.C. broadened her perspective on food access worldwide, underscored by her time working at a summer camp where she saw the challenges faced by youth in her community.

In her new role, Reisch Earll is working closely with staff and school partners to help shape Farm-to-School programming across the region. Since joining the team, her strengths have already shown through in meetings with staff, partners and school champions alike, consistently listening with intention and asking thoughtful questions.

"I really love how intersectional Copper Shores is, and how many different aspects of the community it's working to better," Reisch Earll said. “I’m excited to be a part of something that’s bigger than myself.”

Though Reisch Earll and her husband just moved to the area, they had already fallen for the Copper Country, even tying the knot in the Porcupine Mountains. In her free time, Reisch Earll enjoys hiking, relaxing by the lake, doing photography and serving up warm baked goods during cold winter months. That same love for the region and its people is what Reisch Earll brings into every aspect of her work.

“Everyone deserves access to food that nourishes them,” said Reisch Earll. "My goal is to support farmers and empower community members through nutrition education. I hope to help the community find the capacity to feed themselves in a way that feels good and keeps them nourished, for this generation and the next.”
