Spare change to spare change

Goodwill chooses Copper Shores for quarter one Round-Up program

Goodwill Round-Up 2026 - 1x1Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is delighted to be the first 2026 recipient of Goodwill’s Round-Up program. Every Saturday, January through March, Goodwill in Houghton is asking customers if they would like to round up to the nearest dollar. At the end of the quarter, all collected change is matched by Goodwill Industries of Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, and donated to Copper Shores.

Each quarter, Goodwill NWUP selects a local nonprofit in each of its five participating communities to spotlight and support, encouraging generosity, connection, and meaningful engagement year-round. The Round-Up program makes it easy for shoppers to give back in a simple yet impactful way. These donations help strengthen the overall health and well-being of the Copper Country community.

Funding from the Round-Up program will be used to support the continuation and expansion of the Foundation’s many community health services, ensuring vital programs remain accessible to those who need them most.

Every donation, no matter the amount, is appreciated greatly. While one person’s spare change may feel small on its own, it becomes a powerful force for positive change when combined with the generosity of many; even more so with the generous match provided by Goodwill NWUP. Together, these small acts of kindness add up to a healthier, more resilient community for all.
