Congratulations to the latest Superior Educator - Jesse Kentala of Dollar Bay - Tamarack City Area Schools.

"Family is the ongoing motto at Dollar Bay - Tamarack City Area Schools. Jesse Kentala embodies this motto to a tee. Jesse wears many hats at DBTC. He often checks in with classes and hangs out in the hall greeting students as MS/HS principal. He is also the head basketball coach. Jesse leads by example, with kindness, inclusion and care for each and every student, whether it be in the school halls, or on the basketball court. He takes the time to help the students and staff, wherever needed. The students have a great relationship with Mr. K, as he is often called, and it's not unusual for students to be hanging out in his office talking or in the hallways. It can be challenging to connect with MS/HS students, but Jesse has a special connection and openness that really connects him to the students."
