She goes above and beyond for Houghton Elementary School in countless ways, bringing her passion, creativity and dedication to everything she does. She is actively involved in numerous programs throughout the school, each one aimed at making Houghton Elementary School a healthier, happier and more enriching place for students and staff alike. As the art teacher, Melissa has an incredible ability to inspire creativity and confidence in every child she works with. She brings out the best in her students by creating a welcoming and encouraging environment where they feel free to express themselves. Her enthusiasm for the arts is contagious, and her lessons go beyond teaching technique – she helps students see the beauty in their work and recognize their potential.
