Viktoria Klein
Congratulations to the May Superior Educator of the 2025-2026 school year - Viktoria Klein of the Baraga Area Schools.
"I have had the privilege of knowing Mrs. Klein for many years. I have gotten to see her teaching and also gotten to experience having her teach my children. I have multiple children who have a range of art abilities from very artistic to no ability...or so he thought. She guided him in finding his ability to create and to make beautiful art, even though he always felt he couldn't. She helped my very artsy one bloom, and challenged her with new and fun ideas. Her creativity and compassion shows in what she does.
For years, her students have put out some of the coolest art that shows all the kids' personalities. From glow in the dark art shows, to giant donuts, to clay sculptures, she covers it all and helps all of the kids find their artistic side. Walking past the hall by her room on the way into the school is always enjoyable. There is always something fun to look at. She puts her heart and thriftiness into all she does. When you teach K-12, your days can be long, but she does it with great heart and makes a huge impact on everyone she teaches."
"Vikki is truly an amazing teacher. She is one of three teachers in our district who has a K-12 schedule. She has every elementary class, plus middle and high school classes. Vikki somehow manages to stay organized and gives each class unique assignments that allow them to explore and experiment with new techniques. She has a unique way of teaching skills and concepts while making every student feel like an artist as they grow their confidence. Vikki understands how important the arts are to society and to each individual in her classroom. Vikki also serves as the union treasurer, is a member of the SCRIPT team and teaches art classes at the KBOCC."
