Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is seeking committed, community-minded individuals to join the Board of Directors and committees, helping guide and strengthen the work of the Foundation across the Copper Country. This opportunity is open to any who live in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw or Ontonagon Counties that are passionate about serving their community.

Board and committee members play a vital role in guiding the vision, setting strategic objectives, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and championing programs that make a lasting difference in the community.

We are looking for individuals who

  • Share our commitment to community health and wellness;
  • Bring diverse perspectives, skills, and experiences to consideration of the foundation;
  • Are willing to actively participate in meetings, planning, special events and advocacy;
  • Value collaboration, transparency and impact-driven decision-making;
  • And represent the regional community that includes Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon Counties.

Opportunities available

  • Board of Governance – Provide strategic oversight, leadership and organizational governance.
  • Committees – Contribute expertise in areas such as finance, grants, community engagement, programming and more.

While these roles are unpaid - the time, talents and dedication each person brings are invaluable to Copper Shores’ mission, and many find their involvement to be both a personally and professionally rewarding experience.
