Growth & Grace: Women’s recovery support group launching in October

September 17, 2026 | By Emilie Jacques

Copper Shores Outreach & Education is excited to launch Growth & Grace, a women's support group for those in recovery and those affected by addiction to come together, build community and find support.

"The opposite of addiction is not sobriety,” Peer Recovery Coach Kassy Kallio said. “It's connection."

Beginning October 7, Growth & Grace will meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Hancock. Each session features a rotating activity designed to help people unwind, reflect and connect with those that have similar life experiences. Whether learning a new skill, connecting over crafts or just hanging out, one thing stays the same; participants don’t have to navigate healing and recovery alone.

“Whether living in recovery yourself or supporting someone else's journey with addiction, Growth & Grace offers the opportunity to find community in a substance-free space,” said Kallio.

Registration

Growth & Grace is offered at no cost. To learn more about joining Growth & Grace, fill out the inquiry form below, or contact Kallio at kkallio@coppershores.org or 1 (906) 523-5920 ext. 2063
