Mobile food pantry rolls in to Chassell for 2025
June 26, 2025 | By Emilie Jacques
Feeding America West Michigan is bringing their mobile food pantry to Chassell three more times in 2025, with the next delivery on Wednesday, July 2. Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is proud to be sponsoring the events, in partnership with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
The mobile food pantry is also coming back to Chassell on Wednesday, September 3, and Wednesday, November 5. Each pantry is held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 42905 Wilson Memorial Drive, with line-up beginning around 9:45 a.m. and food distribution starting at 10 a.m.
“We can see the need for hunger advocacy,” said Rev. Soren Schmidt, pastor at Holy Trinity. “It’s a part of our calling and mission to care for our neighbors in need. It’s about awareness, advocacy and action in loving, caring, respectful ways - building up our neighbors, community and all in need.”
The mobile food pantry includes a variety of food all at no cost, including fresh produce and dairy products. Attendees will only need to provide basic contact information and affirm a need for food; identification or proof of income are not required. Boxes of food will be provided in a drive-through format, serving approximately 300 families.
