Everything Houghton County voters need to know about 2025 Elder Nutrition Services millage proposal
Houghton County residents have the opportunity to make their voices heard on August 5, 2025 and vote on the 2025 Elder Nutrition Services millage proposal.
The Basics
If more people vote yes than no, the millage proposal will pass, Copper Shores will address all of the seniors on our waiting list and bring Meals on Wheels to all of Houghton County.
If more people vote no than yes, the millage proposal will not pass, fewer seniors in our community will have the opportunity to utilize Meals on Wheels programming, including no additional routes and likely eventually serving less than the current 300 people we serve daily now.

Where to vote in Houghton County
On August 5, 2025 all Houghton County voters will have the opportunity to have a say in this and several other ballot measures. The County Clerk has put together a great guide that explains where to vote and has a link to find an example ballot for you. See voter information at houghtoncounty.net.
