Tyalor Neeper intro 1x1Copper Shores Community Health Foundation recently welcomed Taylor Neeper to the team in the role of accountant. Drawing on accounting experience across multiple industries, Neeper is well positioned to support Copper Shores' commitment to strengthening communities across the Copper Country.

Neeper gained her numbers know-how at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, graduating with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. After more than a decade of work in the construction, manufacturing and retail industries, Neeper's step into Copper Shores also marks her introduction to working in the nonprofit sector.

“I have worked in multiple for-profit industries,” said Neeper. “And while I am incredibly grateful for the skills and knowledge I gained from those organizations, it wasn't really fulfilling in the ways I was looking for. Volunteering and helping nonprofits has always been a part of my life, so the opportunity to combine two things that I love brought me here.”

Neeper was born in Green Bay, but has called many places home as a part of an active duty family. All that movement didn’t stop her from volunteering in those communities. While living in Wisconsin, Neeper volunteered at Big Brothers Big Sisters and the local humane society, in Pennsylvania, she helped out at a foster-based animal rescue, and locally she’s been a vital volunteer at the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home for several years now.

The Neepers decided to make the Copper Country their permanent home for the same reason many others do; they simply fell in love with the region. When the weather is just right, which is fall if you ask Neeper, there’s no better place to be than outside - camping, hiking, and fishing with pets and family.

When she clocks in, Neeper dives into the details that many find mundane; tracking incoming and outgoing grant funds, program financials, financial compliance and more. Though much of her work happens behind the scenes, Neeper plays a key role in helping Copper Shores serve more people.

“With the way that technologies are moving, big campaigns like GivingTuesday pose new challenges in our department, like utilizing the right software and procedures that will continually make us more efficient and accurate,” explained Neeper. “As accountants, I think we find security in two columns and a pencil, but as technology evolves, we’re evolving too.”

By combining adaptability with hands-on expertise, Neeper helps drive meaningful improvements while remaining focused on delivering dependable results. That mindset of continuous growth extends beyond technology and reflects Neeper’s dedication to making a lasting contribution to the community.

“I want to be an impactful part of the organization and bring value that can be counted on and depended on,” said Neeper.

As Copper Shores continues to evolve to meet emerging needs, Neeper’s dedication to innovation, reliability, and service are vital parts in advancing the organization's mission and creating meaningful change.
