Become a donor

Seniors that attend Meet & Eat will never have to pay for their meal. We suggest a donation of $8 for those over 60 years old.

Meals on Wheels takes great pride in providing seniors with delicious meals and community connections. To help Meals on Wheels continue its work providing to seniors, consider becoming a one time or monthly donor. Donations help cover the rising cost of operations and support efforts to feed seniors locally sourced, nutritionally balanced meals.

  • Extra meals ordered are invoiced at $8 per meal for those 60 and older.
  • Meals cost $13 for those under the age of 60 years old.

Nine reasons to attend Meet & Eat

Meet & Eat 3
  1. Your new best friend might be there waiting for you! These meals are a great place to meet others and socialize.
  2. Coming together every day for a meal is enjoyable, and for some, the group becomes like family!
  3. Many seniors who regularly attend keep an eye on one another and become concerned when someone is ill or going through a difficult time. Meet & Eat is a warm and caring community.
  4. Some seniors get tired of cooking for themselves and love the variety of the meals provided each week. If you’re wondering what the meals look like, check out our latest menu
  5. The perfect amount of food. Some seniors have a hard time cooking for one. Often fresh produce goes bad before it’s eaten or one simply gets tired of eating the same meal of leftovers because it’s hard to adjust recipes for one person.
  6. The meals are tasty and filling. They’re made from scratch by our caring chefs in Hancock and Calumet kitchens!
  7. It’s an affordable way to eat healthy.
  8. By having a daily event, it’s an encouragement to get out of the house, even if you don’t feel like going that day. Once you’re out of the house, you’ll be glad you went!
  9. Attending Meet & Eat helps keeps seniors active and moving – a key component for brain and body health!
